Are you a Programmer? NBA Fans Need You.

July 17, 2007

Here at NBA Unplugged we have some grand visions of what fans, just like ourselves, want in an NBA website/blog/resource.

The thing is, God has blessed Big D and myself with a lot of good looks (haha), just not enough web development abilities.  So we are wondering, is there anyone out there that would want to take our ideas and build a new site for us.  Maybe we go to WordPress.org, maybe not.

The requirements would be, you have to love the NBA, you have to be really good at building websites (we have this graphics designer that can create images for us if necessary), and you have to be willng to do it for the love of the game (a.k.a. free).

So how about it?  Lets build a site that does everything we’ve been looking for in an NBA site.  Let’s build a site that allows fans start out at one place to find all their NBA stuff they want to find.

Just email us – nbaunplugged@gmail.com, and we can chat from there.

NBA Bracketology

March 14, 2007

If the NBA Playoffs began today, and you had to fill out your bracket, who would you pick? Most people would choose Dallas or Phoenix to win it all…but what about San Antonio? Here is Big D’s bracket based upon the NBA Standings if the Playoffs were to begin today:

Eastern Conference
Sweet 16
(1) Detroit over (8) Orlando (This means that the Pacers are NIT bound)
(5) Chicago over (4) Toronto (Ben Gordan will dominate the Raptors)
(3) Washington over (6) Miami (No Dwayne Wade = 1st round exit)
(2) Cleveland over (7) New Jersey (Tough pick, but Lebron prevails)
Elite 8
(1) Detroit over (5) Chicago (You knew Big Ben would face his old team)
(2) Cleveland over (3) Washington (Lebron and Gilbert score 40+/game)
Final 4
(1) Detroit over Cleveland (Lebron is no match for a complete team)

Western Conference
Sweet 16
(1) Dallas over (8) LA Clippers (Dallas hopes Golden St. is not #8 seed)
(5) Houston over (4) Utah (Easily the best first round match-up)
(3) San Antonio over (6) LA Lakers (Kobe and Bowen…elbows anyone?)
(2) Phoenix over (7) Denver (Can you say sweep?)
Elite 8
(1) Dallas over (5) Houston (Dallas will show T-Mac that it takes 5)
(2) Phoenix over (3) San Antonio (Spurs cannot run with the Suns)
Final 4
(1) Dallas over (2) Phoenix (Hopefully at the buzzer in Game 7)

Championship Game
(1) Dallas over (1) Detroit (This is a let down after Mavs/Suns)
